It is vitally important to support the missions of independent, community-based shops. From our base here in Washington, DC to our global connections with our partnerships with international artisans and farmers, The Culture Shop continues to be an active participant in the fair treatment of those whose voices are not loud enough to be heard.

Some towns leave residents and visitors with little choice of where to shop for socially conscious products and services. This a huge loss to communities when their local shops are forced to close their doors; so we must all continue to remain passionate about promoting fair trade and supportive of the businesses and organizations that work to strengthen our neighborhoods and communities.

What YOU can do to affect change in our global community:

• Support The Culture Shop's Coffee Partnership - to raise funds for the Rwandan Leadership School for Girls in Nyamata, Rwanda
• Donate children's books - to be shipped to children in underserved / developing communities. Call 202 726 2211 to schedule a drop-off.
• Shop online or visit our Washington, DC store. We depend on your financial support each day to achieve a more fair and equitable society for future generations - locally and internationally.
• Donate new and barely used sneakers for shipment to underserved / developing communities. Bring or ship your sneakers to our Washington, DC Shop.
• Spread the Word to your global network of friends and family. If we are promoting a cause that you believe in, share the message - we cannot do it alone.
